Day 2: Paris

This morning discover Paris's most famous monuments and tourist sights on a single tour. Ideal for first-time Paris visitors, this tour combines a visit to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower with a panoramic city tour. Travelling on board an air-conditioned open-top coach, discover Paris' cultural heritage through an audio-guided visit. The landmarks of Paris, from the Opéra Garnier to the Eiffel Tower passing by the Louvre museum, will have no more secrets to you and can immerse yourself in an atmosphere staged by sound effects or music of the time. You'll also see the lively districts of the Champs Elysées and Saint Germain des Prés, the musée d'Orsay, the Conciergerie or Notre-Dame Cathedral. (No stop during the tour) while listening to commentary in your language, with individual headsets, that will take you through the centuries and tell you about the history of Paris and the richness of the city's cultural, architectural & artistic heritage. Then it is time to visit Paris's most striking monument - the Eiffel Tower. Built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Universal Exhibition, the Iron Lady rises to 324 meters and offers you an exceptional 360° view of the city. Your priority access ticket allows you to skip the line and speed up by elevator to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower. You can take your time to explore the monument at your own pace and enjoy the unique panorama of the capital below. The tour ends at the Eiffel Tower after about 3 hours and the remainder of the day is free to continue exploring on your own. (B)

Day 3: Versailles Palace

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a morning at leisure to spend as you choose. In the afternoon depart for a visit to the lavish estate of Versailles with our passionate driver-guide who will tell you many anecdotes about the life of the Kings of France. After a guided tour of the Palace, you will be able to discover the gardens of Versailles for a few minutes on your own. One of the most famous historical monuments in the world, the Palace of Versailles was the official residence of the Kings of France Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI and their courts from 1682 to 1789. The Palace has more than 700 rooms and stretches for over 721,000 square feet. Its Baroque architecture, sumptuous decoration, works of art, and furniture were all created by the greatest artisans of the age. Follow your guide straight to the front of the line to visit the palace's most beautiful rooms: the King's Grand Apartments, with seven rooms dedicated to different gods (Apollo, Mars, Mercy, Venus, etc.), and the Queen's Grand Apartments, mirroring those of the king, which include the Coronation Room and the Queen's Bedroom, once occupied by Marie Antoinette, among others. Then be amazed by the grandeur of the Versailles Hall of Mirrors, a unique room in which guests were received and impressed, designed by the famous architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart. Almost 240 feet long, it was created to dazzle visitors to the Sun King, Louis XIV; it is lit by 17 windows and some 350 mirrors and overlooks the palace's breathtaking gardens. Enjoy your free time strolling through the Gardens of Versailles and admire the 386 works of art (including more than 200 statues), fountains, flower beds, ponds, and trees. During the Summer months, a range of activities are organized, such as the Grandes Eaux Musicales, when the fountains are made to dance to music. This tour lasts about 4.5 hours with an expected return to Paris around 6:30 pm. (B).
