Hidden away among the rolling Chianti hills in the Tuscan countryside. Relais Borgo San Luigi is a four-star hotel ideal for lovers of art, nature and gourmet food and wine. Enjoy fine dining in Borgo San Luigi's renowned restaurant and guided tours of the Chianti countryside with tastings. Visit some of Tuscany's most famed medieval villages and, most of all, take time to enjoy it all!

Day 1 Arrive in Chianti

Make your way to your hotel located in the rolling Chianti hills in the Tuscan countryside, near Monteriggioni. Check-in and enjoy some time to relax and explore your new surroundings. Located in the Tuscan countryside half-way between Siena and Florence, Chianti is a region of gently rolling hills, sprawling vineyards and charming medieval towns, and world-renowned for famous wines. Tonight you will be treated to a Welcome Dinner at Borgo San Luigi's renowned restaurant. (D)

Day 2 Castellina & Radda in Chianti

Following breakfast at the hotel head off for a guided wine tour of Chianti. Tour the charming town of Castellina where you will enjoy a wine tasting in its characteristic castle and then continue to the medieval village of Radda. In the afternoon, admire the lovely panoramic views as you travel back to Borgo San Luigi through the famous Wine Route. (B)

Day 3 Monte Oliveto Maggiore Abbey & Montalcino

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing on your next Chianti discovery. Today's tour starts with a walk in the countryside around Siena and continues with a visit to the Monte Maggiore Abbey famous for its Gregorian Chants. We then continue to Montalcino, home of the world-renowned Brunello de Montalcino wine, for a visit and tasting of the famous Brunello and other wines. Enjoy some free time for a light lunch, on your own, and a visit of Sant' Antimo before returning to the hotel. The afternoon is yours to spend as you please. We suggest a visit to Siena, world-famous for its Palio, where you can admire the Duomo and the Piazza del Campo, or discover the picturesque hill town of San Gimignano, renowned for its medieval towers which dominate the town, and has been declared by UNESCO to be part of the World's Architectural Heritage. Day 4 Depart Chianti

Today marks the end of this Around the Chianti. Take your time over breakfast before making your way to the airport or your next destination. Or ask your Travel Agent about extending your stay in Italy. (B)
