Four days to discover Germany’s bustling capital city of Berlin as you please. Rich in historical & cultural treasures, Berlin attracts thousands of visitors each year with its vibrant music scene, countless museums & art galleries, restaurants and elegant shopping venues. A visit to the charming Prussian city of Potsdam is also included.

Day 1 Arrival

After arriving at Berlin airport or railway station, make your way to your selected hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to get acquainted with Berlin. German's capital is a bustling metropolis where contemporary & historical buildings blend together in a fascinating urban fabric, full of architectural & cultural treasures, and a thriving art, music & nightlife scene.

Day 2 Berlin

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then spend the day exploring Berlin's main monuments and sights with a Berlin Hop-on/Hop-off City Circle tour. Your ticket is valid for one day and you can stay on the bus for a full circle for an orientation tour of Berlin or hop-on & off at 20 different landmarks all around the city at your leisure, including Alexander Square, Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Cathedral, the famous Brandenburger Gate, Reichstag, Bellevue Castle, Charlottenburg Palace and the Kurfurstendamm, Berlin's liveliest avenue with numerous shops, restaurants, hotels and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Day 3 Potsdam & Sanssouci

Following breakfast depart on a half-day tour to Potsdam, a city steeped in history and famous for its cultural, artistic & architectural treasures, picturesque old town and marvellous palaces, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Accompanied by an English-German speaking tour guide, travel to Potsdam for a panoramic tour featuring the old centre with the historic Townhall, the Russian settlement of “Alexandrowka” and the “Holländisches Viertel” (Dutch Quarter), among many other sites. Enjoy a stroll through the beautiful gardens of the Sanssouci Palace, then admire its elegantly decorated rooms during a tour of this famous building with an audio-guide (English audio-guide provided). There is no shortage of palaces in this lovely town and on the way you may also see the New Palace, the Historic Windmill, Charlottenhof Palace, the Roman Baths and the Orangery Palace. Return to Berlin and the afternoon is free to spend as you please. (B)  

Day 4 Depart Berlin

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before making your way to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. For added convenience, optional arrival and/or departure transfers are available on request. And ask your Travel Agent about extending your Berlin stay with CIT Tours. (B)
