Sorrento | Ischia & La Mortella Gardens | Full Day

Ischia is known as the Green Isle because of its lush vegetation. It is also the only location to boast true sandy beaches. It is a volcanic island dominated by Mount Epomeo, enjoy the view as you travel across the Bay of Naples by hydrofoil and discover the enchantment of Ischia. For a small island, it has many faces and all of them beautiful. This little bit of paradise is sure to enchant. Ischia is also an important spa town famous for its water. The Aragonese Castle, easily considered Ischia’s most famous historical monument, stands on a volcanic rock connected to the island by a bridge first built in 1438, an impressive site and a not to be missed photo opportunity. The La Mortella Gardens were created by the English composer, William Walton and his Argentinean wife (entrance fees not included).  A popular aspect today is the frequent talks by Lady Walton whilst enjoying an English cup of tea on the pretty terrace. Departing by boat, the journey takes approximately 1 hour. On arrival, you will have a guided tour of the island by bus.  After the visit, you will have free time to enjoy the Mortella Gardens. Unescorted public transport transfer service to the port and boarding for the return. This tour has a duration of around 8 hours.
