Day 1: San Jose | Peace Lodge Waterfall Resort

Upon arrival at San Jose airport our professional driver will greet you at the San Jose International airport and we will head North through coffee country on your way to the stunning La Paz Waterfall and Garden resort. Located on the grounds of La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park, just one hour from the San Jose International Airport, Peace Lodge is part of Small Distinctive Hotels of Costa Rica and has recently been voted the best rain forest honeymoon. Welcome to this boutique hotel for a unique luxury mountain lodge experience where every magical sight, wondrous smell and sensual touch create irreplaceable memories of a journey you wish to take again and again. Day 2: Peace Lodge Waterfall Resort

Spend the day enjoying the many attractions available at the Waterfall Peace Lodge with over 3.5 kilometers of walking trails and 10 animal exhibits to enjoy such as the Butterfly Observatory, Hummingbird Garden, Serpentarium, Frog Exhibit, Tica House, Trout Lake and our bird watching areas and several amazing tropical waterfalls. Or relax by the hotels panoramic pools & admire the picture perfect views of the La Paz River Valley and the towering Poas Volcano. (B)

Day 3: Peace Lodge | Arenal

Following breakfast at your hotel, head by private car to la Fortuna, home of the famous Arenal Volcano. Located at 350 feet above sea level, La Fortuna is a hub for adventure seekers and nature lovers, and offers a variety of activities. Check into your hotel and in the afternoon enjoy a hiking tour through the rainforest at the base of the active Arenal Volcano. This park is filled with wildlife including monkeys, toucans, coati and a large variety of bird species. Your guide will help spot wildlife and give you a detailed history of the active volcano. After the hike you will head to a lava view point to try and see the lava flows where you will also enjoy some ice cold drinks. Later relax at one of the areas hot springs and enjoy a wonderful dinner before returning to your hotel for overnight accommodation. (B,D)

Day 4: Arenal

Breakfast at your hotel and full day at leisure to enjoy one of the many activities available. You may wish to book optional rafting, canyoning or wildlife tours,or a Rio Celeste Hike & Waterfall excursion. Overnight accommodation.(B)

Day 5: Arenal | Manuel Antonio

Following breakfast at your hotel head by private car to the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio. Enjoy hiking through the Manuel Antonio reserve, catching the waves on a surfboard or simply relax on a hammock between palm trees. (B)

Day 6: Manuel Antonio

Breakfast at your hotel and then depart on a guided tour of Manuel Antonio Park. Situated in 900 hectares, including 12 surroundings rocky islets, Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest and yet the most visited park in the country. This is a guided nature walk where you will learn the importance of the park as a transitional zone where the tropical dry forest and the rainforest overlap. Within a relatively short distance, you will visit one of the Pacific's most breathtaking beaches and also appreciate the Mangrove wetland. The walk in the park starts on the tombolo, an isthmus formed by the accumulation of sedimentary material between the mainland and Punta Catedral, which was once an island. Playa Manuel Antonio awaits across the tombolo, where we will stop and enjoy this pristine beach. Beyond this point we will hike up a trail to a view point overlooking Puerto Escondido and Punta Serrucho and then back on the Perezoso Trail. Wildlife is abundant throughout the park and, most likely, you will see sloths, coatis or any of the three types of monkeys (White-faced, squirrel or howler). Over 350 species of birds are reported in the park and surrounding area and also common are agoutis, armadillos, iguanas and raccoons. Following the tour enjoy a snack of fresh tropical fruits and refreshments. Rest of the day at leisure and overnight accommodation. (B)

Day 7: Manuel Antonio

Breakfast at your hotel. Today is free to continue exploring the area, enjoy a day on the tropical beach, or visit some of the small picturesque towns in the area. Or perhaps you wish to take part in optional activities such as a canopy tour, rafting, fishing or diving. (B)

Day 8: Manuel Antonio | San Jose

Today marks the end of you romantic Costa Rica getaway. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and, at the appropriate time, travel back to San Jose Airport by private vehicle for your departure flight. Note: Afternoon flight departures are recommended. (B)
