Day 1 Santiago | Colchagua Valley | Santa Cruz
Departing from Galerias Hotel in Santiago, travel towards the Colchagua Valley, dedicated mostly to the production of fruit and wine. The Colchagua Valley is known as one of the most fertile wine-producing valleys, particularly for the quality of its red varietals. Viu Manent, Santa Laura, Bisquert, Mont Gras and Montes are just some of its renown wineries, many of which were established during the 19th century, introducing French varietals.
On arrival in Santa Cruz we will visit one of the many vineyards of this valley to learn about the process of wine production, keeping cellars, and finally tasting the wines to be acquainted with the final product. Continue to Santa Cruz Hotel where a glass of wine will be waiting for our welcome drink. Lunch on your own, we recommended to enjoy a delicious lunch at the hotel's charming restaurant. Day 2 Colchagua Valley
Breakfast at hotel and followed by a visit to the Colchagua Museum (close Monday's). This is the most complete private museum in Chile, featuring pre-Columbian ceramics & textiles, indigenous Mapuche silver jewellery, an interesting collection of fossils, a collection of completely restored carriages and early car museum, among others. The afternoon is free to spend as you please, perhaps with an optional visit to another winery or the House of Spirits of Colchagua. Overnight accommodation in Santa Cruz. (B)
Day 3 Colchagua Valley | Santiago
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the morning at leisure to spend as you please or relax by the hotel pool. Departure toward Santa Cruz winery located 25 km from Santa Cruz, in the direction of Lolol. Visit of the winery facilities and wine tasting. Then ride a short cable car to visit the winery's indigenous villages, where typical constructions of Aymara, Rapa Nui and Mapuche cultures have been recreated. Return to the hotel, then finally to Galerias Hotel in Santiago and end of services. Ask about booking pre/post hotel accommodation in Santiago.(B)
