The itinerary was perfect, but the people who implemented & managed it were even better. Driver & guides were all professionals & worthy of saying thanks for a well done job. We saw & learned a lot. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for a job well done!

Day 5 Monterosso

One of the most economical & convenient ways to explore the Cinque Terre is with a Cinque Terre Card which grants access to the national park and its trekking trails, the shuttle buses  & train travel between Levanto & La Spezia. This pass is easily purchased locally at any railway station. (B)

Day 6 Monterosso

A day to pass as you choose enjoying the marvellous scenery of this coast-line perhaps travelling to another village using the many ferries that regularly sail back-&-forth between towns.  (B)

Day 7 Monterosso | Florence & Tuscan Tastes

Today you’ll return to the train station to board your train to Florence and once there you’ll find that your hotel is located within an easy walking distance of the railway station & of Florence’s most important sites.  Check-in and then, in the late afternoon, enjoy some local Tuscan Tastes. Our Florence Wine Tasting offers a unique variety of Italian Wines specially selected by our Sommelier and matched by the most traditional foods of the Tuscan countryside and takes place in an authentic, traditional Enoteca located in the heart of Florence and led by the winner of the prestigious trophy "Best Sommelier 2014 FISAR". His name is Livio and he’s a great wine teacher and expert. The wine bar where the tasting takes place is a historical place: open in the 19th century, it was originally an “Alimentari”, that’s a grocery store, specialized in the sale of the codfish. But don’t worry, Livio will give you an introduction about the shop and its beginning.  Our Florence Wine Tasting is limited to small groups, so we guarantee a unique experience; in this way you are able to ask any questions or curiosities to our Sommelier. Enjoy some of the many delicious tastes of the Tuscany region: have you ever put some jam on the cheese? In Tuscany, we like to match the sweetness of the jam with the taste of the cheese, that could be Pecorino (sheep) or Caprino (goat) or Parmigiano (from cow milk). You’ll learn how to prepare a delicious dish of cheeses and cold-cuts in a quick and simple way!  Moreover, don't forget about our great extra virgin Olive oils!  The olive tree's roots are inextricably entwined with the culinary history of the region and this fascinating tasting experience is a voyage of discovery through the palette of Tuscan olive oils. It’s incredible how the taste of the oil can change, depending on the soil, the climate, the exposure to the sun and, more important, the time of the olive harvest. The Tuscan olive oil is different from the others for its aggressive, herby and very strong flavour. Remember, don’t use the extra virgin olive oil for cooking, it’s a waste of a first-quality product! (B)
During the month of August, the Tuscan Tastes event is replaced by a Tasting Tour by Bike.

Day 8 Florence

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel and some time to stroll the fascinating streets of Florence before your Guided Visit to Accademia Gallery. Our experienced multilingual guides will help you to discover the treasures of the most famous and important museums in the world. They will take you back in time, on an animated journey through the history and art of Florence, in order to reveal secrets and tales linked to the artworks of the greatest Renaissance artists.  Total immersion in the art of Michelangelo to get to know his most famous work, David, and other important works of art such as "I Prigioni" and "San Matteo". Your afternoon will be free to pass as you choose. (B)

Day 9 San Gimignano, Siena & Chianti

Enjoy a full-day tour of Tuscany’s villages and wine regions from Florence and travel into the heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Visit the town of San Gimignano, the wine territory of Chianti, the medieval town of Siena and the Monteriggioni fortress.  The village of San Gimignano, the Chianti area and the Medieval town of Siena are situated in the heart of our beautiful Tuscany. They are all compelling stops for those who want to learn about the region’s history and traditions. The first stop will be San Gimignano, a magnificent example of a Medieval urban town; in fact, it is a UNESCO world heritage site. Here you will have free time to visit the village and its splendid squares, palaces, churches and the magnificent towers. The tour continues to the splendid area of the Chianti Classico. We will stop by a typical Tuscan winery where you will visit the cellars and vineyards.
