Day 5: Neuschwanstein & Linderhof Castles
Today enjoy a full day excursion to visit Bavaria's Royal Castles. Sitting majestically on top of a rugged hill, majestic Neuschwanstein is perhaps the best-known castle in the world. It was built in the 19th Century as a private refuge for King Ludwig II, Bavaria's fairytale King, while the smaller French-Rococo style Linderhof Castle served as his hunting lodge and is the only one where the king actually lived for a significant period of time. During this tour, you will visit these two architectural gems and also enjoy a short stop in Oberammergau, the picturesque village internationally known for its Passion play, wooden crafts & beautifully painted houses. Return to Munich in the afternoon for your final overnight. (B)

In the afternoon, a private transfer will take you to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. Or ask about extending your stay in Munich or in another German city. Auf Wiedersehen!
