Day 1: Madrid


Monday - Bienvenido a España! Arriving in Madrid make your way to your hotel for check in and some time to relax before meeting your fellow travellers at this evening's orientation session which you can enjoy with a welcome drink.

Day 2: Madrid


Tuesday - After breakfast at your hotel enjoy a panoramic tour of Madrid revealing the multiple faces that history has left behind. Discover the medieval origins of the city, such as the Arabic fortress at the Barrio de la Morería, famous for its historical buildings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterized by Phillip II and its Renaissance & Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor & Plaza de la Villa, and the Madrid of the Bourbons with the Royal Palace, Cibeles & Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. Continue through the contemporary Madrid to discover areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. The afternoon is free to continue exploring the wonders that the city has to offer. (B)

Day 3: Madrid | Cordoba | Seville


Wednesday - Enjoy an early breakfast before departing from your hotel at 8:30 am to head southward through the Land of Don Quixote, 'The Man from La Mancha', admiring the scenery of expansive vineyards along the way. Brief stop at typical site in Puerto Lapice before crossing through the natural border of “Despeñaperros” and get into Andalucía, a region for itself that shows and enormous heritage from a splendorous past, to reach Cordoba. Enjoy an impressive tour of Cordoba's famous Mosque and other sites and ease your mind & spirit as you stroll through the narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, after a short two hours ride reach Seville where you will enjoy dinner and accommodation at the hotel. (B.D)

Day 4: Seville


Thursday - Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a morning Monumental and Panoramic city tour of Seville which will include the interior of the Cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome, and Santa Cruz Quarter, a natural scenario of “Carmen” where the myth of “Don Juan” developed. You'll also visit Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. The afternoon is at leisure continue discovering the wonderful views & flavours of this city full of light, on your own. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. There is also an optional Flamenco Tour available tonight. (B.D)

Day 5: Seville | Granada


Friday - After breakfast at the hotel, drive east through the Caliphate Road into the heart of Andalucia observing an endless number of olive trees along the way to Granada and it’s incredible and amazing monumental environment, last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492. Visit the world famous Alhambra complex with its beautiful Nazari Palaces and the fabulous Generalife Gardens, that have inspired many authors with its sound and sights, including the “Tales of the Alhambra” by W. Irving. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Tonight an optional Gipsy Flamenco show at Sacromonte quarter is available on request. (B.D)

Day 6: Granada | Toledo | Madrid


Saturday - After breakfast at your hotel the tour continues northward to reach the impressive Imperial City of Toledo, a World Heritage City, where the three cultures of Spain (Christians, Moorish & Jewish) have lived and worked peacefully together. Enjoy a short guided tour through the narrow streets of this historic old town and then proceed to visit a famous "Damasquinado" factory, a traditional technique by which fine gold & silver threads are inlaid in iron forming intricate designs. Continue to Madrid for check in and overnight accommodation. (B)

Day 7: Madrid


Sunday - Today marks the end of your Andalucia & Toledo small-group coach tour. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and, at your hotel and at a time to suit your departing flight, make your way to the airport for your onward journey. Adios! (B)
