Day 1: Madrid

Bienvenido a España!   On arrival in Madrid, you will find your driver waiting for you in the arrivals area and ready to bring you in comfort to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of today is at leisure to relax or start exploring Spain's capital city on your own. From famous museums & monuments to traditional eateries, excellent shopping opportunities, grand avenues and sprawling parks, Madrid has much to be discovered. 

Day 2: Madrid

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up for a  Morning Madrid panoramic city tour.  You will find the medieval origins of the city, like the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Morería, famous for its historical buildings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterized  by Phillip II and its Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. Admire the XIX C. works such as Prado Museum. The contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste, as well as commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. The afternoon today is yours to continue exploring the wonders that the city has to offer.(B) 
 

Day 3: Toledo | Madrid

This morning after breakfast at your hotel you can discover the “City of the Three Cultures”.  Located 70 km away from Madrid is Toledo, a beautiful city-museum declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is one of the oldest towns in Europe and has a great artistic beauty and buildings from almost all periods in history (Arabian, Gothic, Mudéjar, Renaissance and Baroque style). Toledo is called the “City of the Three Cultures” since Christians, Muslims and Jews lived together. In the XVI century, it was also home to the great painter El Greco. This tour includes the outside view of the Cathedral; Church of St. Tomé with El Entierro del señor de Orgaz, masterpiece of El Greco; Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca; Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes; demonstration of the famous technique of damascene (incrustation of precious metals in steel) and Panoramic Sightseeing of Toledo.  You'll return to Madrid in the early afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Day 4: Madrid

Today marks the end of your Madrid City Break and at a time to suit your departing flight your private driver will bring you to the airport with ample time to check-in, perhaps enjoy some last-minute duty-free shopping and begin your journey home. Adios! (B)
