Mostly known for its elegant hotels, popular beaches and the 19th-century seafront Promenade des Anglais, Nice is also a city of art, culture and history. Visit the main historic & cultural sites of Nice and discover the charms of Provence & the Cote D'Azur while enjoying plenty of free time to explore on your own!

Day 1: Nice

Upon arrival at Nice airport, collect your luggage and make your way to your Nice hotel. (An optional airport transfer is available). Check-in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to start exploring Nice on your own.

Day 2: Nice

Following breakfast, discover Nice's most important sites with our professional driver-guide. Drive along the “Promenade des Anglais”, the elegant seaside boulevard that runs along the bay of Nice. Admire the splendid panorama over the bay of Nice, the beaches, the port and the old town from atop Castle Hill. Then discover the historic Cimiez neighbourhood with its Roman ruins, Belle Epoque buildings and beautiful gardens creating an island of peace in the heart of the city. Here you'll visit the 15th-century Franciscan church where you can admire paintings by Lois Brea and walk through Cimiez park to reach the Matisse Museum (closed on Tuesdays). A visit to the towering Russian Cathedral is planned before exploring the old town, the centre of social & nightlife in Nice with its famous Saleya Square flower market (closed on Mondays) and abundance in local shops, restaurants, cafés & nightclubs. This tour lasts approximately 3 hours and the remainder of the day is yours to pass as you choose. (B)

This morning experience stunning panoramic views as you travel along the coastal road leading from Nice to Monaco. Stop at Eze, a perched medieval village with charming crafts shops and breathtaking views. Continue toward the principality of Monaco and discover the charm of its old town, "The Rock", where you can see the Prince's Palace, the majestic Cathedral, and the Cousteau Oceanographic Museum. Take a tour of Monte Carlo and drive the amazing Grand Prix circuit. Then enjoy free time at the Casino Square - amuse yourselves with luxurious shopping, stroll through stunning gardens, see the mega-yachts and chic casinos, or simply watch the “rich & beautiful” in their favourite haunt. Drive along the spectacular Lower Corniche harbouring ancient villages and modern marinas on the return to Nice. Please note the Grand Casino is closed every morning. This small group tour has a duration of 5 hours approximately and after returning to Nice, you are free to relax or explore on your own. (B)
