Day 1 Arrival

Upon arrival in Sorrento make your way to your selected hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is free to relax and explore Sorrento on your own. Overnight accommodation in Sorrento.

Day 2 Sorrento

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then depart on a small group tour of the Amalfi Coast. Discover one of Europe's most scenic drives travelling along the winding coastal road with breathtaking panoramic views at every bend. Revisit the glorious past of Amalfi, one of four Maritime Republics, discover the picturesque village of Positano and enchanting town of Ravello, nestled eleven hundred feet above the sea in the hillside. A light lunch is included today and an optional visit of the magnificent Villa Ruffolo in Ravello is available (entrance fee not included). Return to Sorrento in the late afternoon. (B.LL)

Day 3 Capri & Anacapri

No vacation on the Amalfi Coast would be complete without a trip to the evocative island of Capri! Depart by steamer for a pleasant sail to Capri. During the crossing, a breathtaking sight of our Coast from Amalfi to Campanella Cape and of the Sorrento Coast will disclose before your eyes. Land in Capri and start of the guided tour of the island. Stop at Anacapri for a walking tour with free time to visit the famous Villa St Michele, built by the Swedish doctor and writer Axel Munthe on the remains of Roman ruins, offering a wonderful view of the island from its beautiful shady garden. From the Chapel St Michele's terrace, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. You will also have the opportunity to take the chairlift to the summit of Monte Solaro, the highest point of the island. Continue by mini-coach to Capri where you'll have a guided walking tour of the town and the famous ‘Piazzetta’ of Capri, also called "sitting room of the world'. Enjoy free time to stroll along the exclusive shopping streets of Via Camerelle & Via Le Botteghe, visit the breathtaking Augustus' Gardens or just relax at one of the many cafes sipping your favourite drink & enjoying lunch, on your own. You will then return to the port where time and weather permitting, you can take an optional boat ride around the island or to the famous Blue Grotto. Return to Sorrento for overnight accommodation. Day 4 Sorrento

Today, unfortunately, marks the end of your Sorrento getaway. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before making your way to your next destination. Or ask your travel agent about extending your vacation with CIT Tours. (B)
