A unique and authentic experience of Tuscany. Along the way that will lead us to Siena, we will stop at San Gimignano, a small hilltop town renowned for its tall towers, wonderful frescoes & many other valuable works of art where you'll have time at your disposal to explore the historical centre on your own. A short distance from San Gimignano you will visit the charming historical hamlet of Monteriggioni, an amazing small medieval village enclosed by its famous walls. Enjoy some free time in Monteriggioni before a short drive across the gently rolling Chianti hills will take you to a local winery, where you can relax and enjoy the fantastic world of Chianti with its wine and typical products. You'll taste three fine wines & balsamic vinegar followed by a 3-course Chianti style lunch of “zero food miles” products which ends with "cantucci e vin santo".  Continue to Siena, where you will meet your professional local guide who will lead you on a comprehensive guided tour of the historic centre, starting from the famous Basilica of San Domenico, a jewel of Renaissance art built in the 13th-century and dedicated to St. Catherine of Siena. Then strolling along the narrow medieval streets of the city flanked by splendid palaces & historic shops, cross famous Piazza del Campo and arrive at the spectacular 12th-century Cathedral where you can admire the magnificent architecture and the splendour of the polychrome marbles (inside visit optional). You will also have some free time to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this amazing city, before the return to Florence. Tour duration approximately 11 hours and your return to Florence will be around 7:30 pm.
